Virile Crayfish

Virile crayfish thrive in clear streams, lakes, and rocky rivers where they spend daylight hours hiding under stones or submerged timber. As night falls, these active scavengers emerge to forage along the basin floor, using their large blue-tinged pincers to overturn detritus and capture small prey. Outside their native North American range, their high adaptability and aggressive behavior allow them to displace native crustacean species.
