Parasaurolophus tubicen

Parasaurolophus tubicen

Parasaurolophus tubicen browsed the lush, subtropical floodplains of the Late Cretaceous, shifting easily between walking on all fours and running on strong hind legs. Its colossal, backward-sweeping crest enclosed an elaborate network of hollow airways, functioning like a natural brass horn capable of projecting low-frequency calls across vast distances. Tightly packed dental batteries composed of hundreds of interlocking teeth continually ground down fibrous conifers, twigs, and flowering plants.
