Veiled chameleons navigate the shrubs and coastal trees of the Arabian Peninsula with zygodactylous feet and a prehensile tail built for arboreal stability. Males feature a high, helmet-like crest called a casque that collects morning dew and funnels droplets directly into their mouths. Their remarkable independently rotating eyes and lightning-fast projectile tongue allow them to hunt insects with pinpoint accuracy.
