Peacock Day Gecko

Phelsuma quadriocellata

Also known as Four-spotted Day Gecko, Four-eyed Day Gecko

Peacock day geckos are active, diurnal lizards renowned for their vivid emerald coloration accented by dark, blue-ringed eyespots near their limbs. Highly agile climbers, they dart along broad leaves, bamboo stalks, and human dwellings in search of small insects and floral nectar. Males defend sunlit territories with head bobs and rapid chases, thriving across both pristine humid forests and heavily altered agricultural edges.
