Zebra Haworthia
Haworthiopsis attenuataAlso known as Zebra Plant, Zebra Cactus, Attenuata Haworthia
Zebra Haworthia forms compact, stemless rosettes of dark green, pointed leaves studded with stark white, chalky tubercles across both the inner and outer surfaces. Thriving tucked under the partial shade of arid scrub bushes, it reproduces steadily by pushing out clonal offsets at the soil line to produce dense clumps. Small, tubular white blossoms marked with subtle green veins rise well above the foliage on slender, wiry stalks during summer.

- Why interaction risk is low
- Non-toxic and safe to handle or observe at close range.
Responsible observation
- Identification: Check both leaf surfaces for white bumps; the inner face will be bumpy rather than smooth.
- Cultivation: Provide bright, indirect light and allow the gritty soil to dry completely between waterings.
- Conservation: Never collect wild specimens from rocky crevices, as field populations suffer from poaching.
