Jungle flame

Jungle flame forms dense, evergreen mounds ablaze with rounded clusters of tubular, bright red to orange blossoms that bloom year round in tropical climates. Butterflies and hummingbirds frequent the nectar-rich flowers, which later give way to small, dark purple berries eaten by tropical birds. Widely cultivated as an ornamental hedge, this resilient shrub thrives in moist, acidic soils and direct sunlight.
