Deathstalkers navigate arid desert landscapes using specialized hair-like sensilla on their legs to detect minute ground vibrations from moving prey. They ambush insects and small invertebrates from shallow burrows or beneath rocks, immobilizing victims with a swift sting from their slender tail. At night, their exoskeletons glow a vivid cyan under ultraviolet light, allowing observers to spot them across dark sands.
