Kniphofia princeae produces striking erect inflorescences packed with tubular flowers that shift in color as they mature. Native to damp montane grasslands in tropical East Africa, this perennial relies on sunbirds for pollination. Clumps of narrow, arching leaves anchor the plant in permanently moist soil along stream banks and marshy slopes.
