Garden stonecrop is a succulent, upright perennial that thrives in poor, rocky soils across East Asia and temperate garden borders worldwide. Dense cymes of pale greenish-white to pale pink star-shaped flowers emerge late in summer, providing a vital late-season nectar source for foraging native bees and butterflies. Thick, waxy leaves store water efficiently, allowing foliage to remain crisp and resilient even during intense summer dry spells.
