Giant Danio
Devario aequipinnatusGiant danios are energetic, schooling freshwater fish known for their shimmering blue and gold longitudinal striping and continuous darting motion through fast-moving water. In their native hill streams, schools patrol the upper and middle water column to snatch drifting invertebrates and fallen insects from the surface. During spawning events triggered by seasonal rains, pairs scatter non-adhesive eggs among rocky crevices and submerged riverine vegetation without parental care.
