Lesser Green Lynx Spider
Peucetia longipalpisLesser green lynx spiders are bright green ambush hunters that stalk prey across low shrubs, cacti, and agricultural crops. Unlike web-building spiders, these agile arachnids rely on keen eyesight and sudden leaping strikes to capture leaf-footed bugs, caterpillars, and flying insects. Females construct silk egg sacs on dense foliage, fiercely guarding their offspring until the spiderlings hatch and disperse.
