Rosemary forms dense evergreen thickets along dry Mediterranean coasts, filling the air with a resinous, pine-like fragrance. Small lavender-blue flowers bloom along woody stems throughout winter and spring, offering critical early nectar to foraging bees. Highly resilient to salt spray and severe drought, it anchors dry coastal cliffs and rocky hillsides.
