Utahceratops gettyi

Utahceratops gettyi

Utahceratops was a robust chasmosaurine dinosaur distinguished by short, outward-projecting brow horns and an expansive, scalloped cranial frill. Roaming the coastal lowlands of Laramidia, it cropped tough vegetation using a powerful shearing beak and dental batteries. Fossil evidence suggests it shared lush floodplains with a diverse guild of other horned dinosaurs, likely living in small social groups for protection against apex tyrannosaurs.
