Red ivy forms low, creeping mats of puckered foliage featuring deep metallic green tops and striking magenta-purple undersides. Small white or pale purple tubular flowers bloom periodically, though the plant is predominantly observed for its distinctively textured leaves. Native to tropical Indonesian rainforests, it spreads quickly across warm, humid understories and damp soil.
