Reflexed stonecrop forms dense, sprawling evergreen carpets of cylindrical blue-gray succulent foliage that anchor into shallow crevices and old masonry. In early summer, the flowering stems nod downward in tight buds before straightening upward to display clusters of brilliant star-shaped yellow blossoms. Its fleshy leaves utilize specialized Crassulacean Acid Metabolism, taking in carbon dioxide at night to survive prolonged drought in sun-baked environments.
