Green Terror
Andinoacara rivulatusAlso known as Gold Saum, White Saum
Green Terrors earn their name from the fierce territoriality displayed by mature adults defending breeding grounds. Males develop brilliant blue-green iridescent patterning across their flanks and a pronounced head hump known as a nuchal hump. Both parents actively guard adhesive egg clutches laid on submerged rocks, aggressively driving off any intruding aquatic life.
