Chinese fringe flower is a graceful evergreen shrub in the witch-hazel family, celebrated for its spider-like clusters of ribbon-thin blossoms that erupt in early spring. In wild subtropical woodlands, it forms dense thickets that provide shelter for small birds and insects.
