Mammillaria polythele

Also known as Solitary Nipple Cactus, Nonesuch Cactus

Mammillaria polythele is a cylindrical cactus native to the high-altitude dry scrublands and oak forests of central Mexico. It features prominent conical tubercles topped with clusters of sharp spines and fine wool, often forming an upright solitary column that leans slightly toward the sun as it matures. Small, brilliant magenta flowers erupt in a tight ring near the growing tip during warm months, followed by bright reddish purple berries.
