Bush Thunbergia is a dense, upright shrub renowned for its velvety, deep-purple trumpet flowers centered with brilliant yellow throats. Unlike many of its twining vine relatives, it forms an erect, woody framework with slender, four-angled stems and small, glossy dark-green leaves. Blossoms appear in sustained flushes throughout warm weather, offering a steady nectar station for foraging bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
