Annual Toadflax
Linaria maroccanaAlso known as Moroccan Toadflax, Baby Snapdragon
Slender upright stems produce dense spikes of miniature snapdragon-like blossoms equipped with long, pointed nectar spurs. Native to Moroccan hillsides and sandy soils, this prolific self-seeder has spread globally as a cherished cool-season garden flower. Bumblebees act as specialized pollinators, using their body weight to force open the tightly closed floral lips to reach deep nectar reserves.
