Narrow-leaved Hawksbeard

Crepis tectorum

Also known as Narrowleaf Hawksbeard, Narrow-leaved Hawk's-beard, Yellow Hawksbeard

Narrow-leaved hawksbeard stands tall on slender, branched stems adorned with narrow leaves and bright yellow dandelion-like flower heads. Native to Eurasia, this resilient winter annual rapidly colonizes disturbed ground, agricultural fields, and roadsides across North America. Each mature flower head yields dozens of light, tufted seeds that travel effortlessly on autumn breezes to establish new colonies.
