Pot marigold produces brilliant yellow and orange composite flower heads that open with the morning sun and close by evening. Native to southern Europe, this hardy annual has escaped gardens worldwide, flourishing in disturbed soil, field margins, and sunny borders. The bright blooms attract bees, hoverflies, and butterflies throughout an extended blooming season from spring into late autumn.
