Broad-leaved Podocarp is an evergreen conifer endemic to the mist-shrouded cloud forests and mountain ridges of Cuba. Its dark green foliage consists of flattened, lance-shaped leaves that capture light efficiently in humid montane canopies. Specialized fleshy seed cones grow along the branch axils, providing food for native birds that disperse the seeds across high-elevation ecosystems.
