Fluted Bird's Nest Fungus

Cyathus striatus

Why interaction risk is low
Wild fungi have dangerous look-alikes; do not eat or ingest specimens based on app identification.
Responsible observation
  • Interior: Look for vertical fluting inside a mature open cup.
  • Scale: Search closely because each nest is only about the size of a fingernail.
