Sinraptor dongi
Sinraptor dongiSinraptor dongi was an agile carnosaur that roamed the seasonal floodplains of Late Jurassic China, using a lightly built skull lined with curved, serrated teeth to strip flesh from sauropods and ornithischians. Long hind limbs and an elongated tail gave this bipedal hunter remarkable balance and speed for an animal weighing over a metric ton. Fossilized puncture wounds on discovered skulls reveal that individuals engaged in violent head-biting encounters, likely over territory or carcasses.

- Why interaction risk is low
- Extinct fossil species; entirely safe to observe in museum exhibits and collections.
Responsible observation
- Museum Exhibits: Study skull casts in natural history institutions to see the large antorbital fenestrae that lightened its bite.
- Field Geology: Seek fossil-bearing Jurassic mudstones alongside authorized paleontological excavations in Xinjiang.
