Giganotosaurus carolinii

Giganotosaurus carolinii ranks among the largest terrestrial carnivores ever to walk the Earth, dominating the floodplains of mid-Cretaceous Patagonia. Armed with laterally compressed, serrated teeth resembling steak knives, it functioned as a slicing predator capable of carving massive flesh wounds into giant sauropod prey. Its massive skull, measuring over one and a half meters in length, housed an exceptionally keen sense of smell alongside proportionally modest brain dimensions typical of carcharodontosaurids.
