Species
Siamotyrannus isanensis
Siamotyrannus isanensisSiamotyrannus roamed the river valleys and floodplains of what is now northeastern Thailand during the Early Cretaceous. Originally mistaken for the earliest ancestral tyrannosaurid due to traits in its pelvis, paleobiologists now recognize it as an allosauroid hunter within Metriacanthosauridae. Equipped with robust jaws, recurved teeth, and agile bipedal posture, it operated as a key predator tackling juvenile sauropods and other terrestrial vertebrates.
