Species
Ankylosaurus magniventris
Ankylosaurus magniventrisAnkylosaurus magniventris roamed the subtropical floodplains of western North America during the final millions of years before the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event. Enclosed from snout to tail in interlocking bony osteoderms and defensive horns, this massive quadruped possessed a low-slung, broad body built to anchor against large theropods. Its rigid tail terminated in a heavy, bone-fused club capable of generating devastating impact forces during defensive swings.
