Saurolophus angustirostris
Saurolophus angustirostrisSaurolophus angustirostris was a giant duck-billed dinosaur that navigated the lush river systems of Late Cretaceous Mongolia. Exceptional fossils preserve extensive skin impressions showing vertical tail frills alongside a solid, backward-pointing cranial spike that supported soft tissue for visual and acoustic displays. Adults processed tough conifers and riparian vegetation using dense grinding batteries of teeth, switching between quadrupedal browsing and bipedal locomotion.
