Peperomia clusiifolia

Peperomia clusiifolia

Also known as Red-edged Peperomia, Jelly Peperomia, Clusia-leaved Peperomia

Red edge peperomia is a compact, semi-succulent perennial native to the tropical forest understory and shaded limestone outcrops of Jamaica. Its thick, spoon-shaped leaves feature a distinct reddish-purple margin that helps distinguish it from close relatives. In humid native habitats, it thrives as both a terrestrial groundcover and an occasional lithophyte, absorbing dappled light beneath the canopy.
