Also known as Scarlet Flame Bean, Mountain Rose, Rose of the Mountain

Rose of Venezuela is a striking tropical understory tree famous for its massive, globe-like clusters of bright crimson to scarlet flowers that burst directly from the branches and trunk. New leaves emerge suspended in soft, dangling, mottled pinkish tassels before expanding and hardening into dark green foliage. Native to northern South American rainforests, it serves as a vital nectar source for visiting hummingbirds and large butterflies.
