Rufous-backed Robin
Turdus rufopalliatusAlso known as Rufous-backed Thrush
Rufous-backed Robins are elegant songbirds characterized by their rich rufous-orange backs, grey heads, and finely streaked white throats. They spend much of their time foraging quietly on the ground, tossing leaf litter aside in search of insects and fallen fruit. While native to the dry forests of Mexico, these thrushes occasionally wander north into the desert oases of the American Southwest during winter.
