Northern Rough-winged Swallow

Stelgidopteryx serripennis

A plain brown swallow with a dusky throat, the Northern Rough-winged Swallow lacks the bold breast band of a Bank Swallow. It courses low over water and open ground, catching insects before returning to a burrow or crevice nest.
