Red-vented bulbuls are energetic, vocal songbirds recognizable by their dark crested head, scaly body pattern, and bright crimson patch beneath the tail. Highly adaptable and opportunistic, they thrive in bustling urban gardens, farmlands, and tropical forest edges where they forage in noisy pairs or small flocks. Their bold nature and diverse diet have allowed them to colonize numerous Pacific and Atlantic islands far beyond their native South Asian range.
