Little Raven
Corvus melloriLittle ravens are gregarious corvids that frequently forage in bustling flocks across southeastern Australian woodlands, pastures, and coastal scrub. Unlike their solitary, highly territorial relatives, they form loose breeding colonies in smaller trees and readily mix in large nomadic winter groups. Their distinct, guttural 'kar-kar-kar' calls are accompanied by rapid wing-flicks and lack the drawn-out dying wail typical of the Australian raven.
