Whiskered Tern

Chlidonias hybrida

The Whiskered Tern is a marsh tern that patrols low over lakes and wetlands, dipping to seize small aquatic prey. Breeding adults show a black cap, gray body, white cheeks, and dark red bill, while nonbreeding plumage is paler.
