Muskox

Muskoxen roam the frozen Arctic tundra in social herds, using their dense double coat of qiviut wool to withstand temperatures well below minus forty degrees. When threatened by predators, adults form an impenetrable defensive circle around vulnerable calves with their curved horns facing outward. During the autumn rut, massive bulls clash head-on in thunderous combat to secure dominance over female harems.
