Golden Lion Tamarin

Golden lion tamarins are striking arboreal primates recognizable by their mane-like ring of fiery orange fur encircling a dark, hairless face. Living in tight family groups, they rely on complex vocalizations and shared parental care, where fathers and siblings assist in carrying newborn twins. Their survival depends on intact Atlantic Forest canopy, where they forage through tree holes and bromeliads for insects and fruits.
