Iberian Green Frog
Pelophylax pereziAlso known as Perez's Frog, Iberian Waterfrog, Coruna Frog
Iberian green frogs fill warm wetlands across Southern Europe with buoyant croaking choruses during spring mating assemblies. Adults sunbathe along muddy banks and plunge headlong into water at the slightest sound of danger. Their diet consists mainly of terrestrial insects, spiders, and aquatic invertebrates snapped up with a flick of their sticky tongue.
