Oval Ambersnail
Novisuccinea ovalisOval ambersnails possess delicate, translucent amber-colored shells through which their internal organs are partially visible. They thrive in wet temperate environments, frequently crawling onto leaves, wetland shrubs, and damp forest litter to feed on fungi and decaying organic matter. During dry spells, they seal themselves inside their shells with a thin layer of dried mucus to conserve moisture.
