Rosy wolfsnails are voracious predatory gastropods that track other mollusks across the forest floor by following their chemical slime trails. Equipped with elongated, mustache-like labial tentacles, they locate and swallow smaller snails whole or rasp into larger shells with a razor-sharp radula. Deliberately introduced to tropical islands as a biological control agent, their aggressive feeding habits severely decimated native island tree snail populations instead.
