Drassodella quinquelabecula
Drassodella quinquelabeculaDrassodella quinquelabecula is an agile ground-dwelling spider that stalks leaf litter and stony ground across South African biomes. Like other gallieniellids, it relies on rapid sprints and acute tactile senses to overpower small invertebrates rather than spinning prey-capture webs. Concealing itself beneath rocks or rotting logs during the heat of the day, it emerges at dusk to patrol the micro-terrain of the forest floor and fynbos understory.
