Gold-striped leaftier moths are distinctive autumn flyers recognized by their warm brownish-gold forewings dusted with fine dark speckles. Caterpillars construct protective shelters by tying together leaves of various deciduous trees using silk threads, feeding safely inside during spring and summer. Adults emerge in late summer through mid-autumn, frequently resting flat against tree bark or visiting night lights.
