Abracris flavolineata is an agile Neotropical spur-throated grasshopper known for its prominent pale or yellow longitudinal stripes running down the pronotum and forewings. Adults frequent open grassy areas and forest clearings, using powerful hind legs to burst into sudden flight when disturbed. Females lay egg pods beneath the soil surface, where nymphs hatch following seasonal rains to graze on young foliage.
