Onomarchus uninotatus
Onomarchus uninotatusAlso known as Jackfruit Katydid, Asian Leaf Bush Cricket
Resembling a vibrant green broadleaf, Onomarchus uninotatus blends seamlessly into the rainforest canopy and orchard foliage across South and Southeast Asia. Nightfall prompts these large bush crickets to emerge from hiding to feed on foliage, using specialized sound-producing structures on their forewings to call for mates. Females feature a long, sword-like ovipositor designed to deposit eggs carefully inside plant tissue.
