Insect
Prosevania fuscipes
Prosevania fuscipesAlso known as Cockroach Egg Parasitoid Wasp, Black Ensign Wasp
Ensign wasps perform a continuous, rhythmic flagging motion with their tiny, paddle-like abdomen whenever they pause. Female wasps search out concealed cockroach egg cases and insert a single egg into the protective capsule, where the hatching larva consumes the developing pest embryos inside. Often spotted around household walls and garden structures, these glossy black insects serve as beneficial, natural pest control.
