Emerald Tree Frog

Emerald tree frogs are vibrant green arboreal amphibians endemic to the humid mountain forests of northern Taiwan. Females deposit their eggs inside airy foam nests whipped together above water-filled tree hollows or artificial pools, allowing tadpoles to drop directly into the water upon hatching. Active mainly on rainy nights, males advertise from bamboo stems and orchard foliage with a distinctive rhythm of rhythmic clicking calls.
