Bare-faced Go-away-bird

Corythaixoides personatus

Also known as Brown-faced Go-away-bird, Bare-faced Plantain-eater

Bare-faced go-away-birds roam open woodland and acacia savanna in pairs or small family groups, moving actively through the upper canopy. Their distinctive nasal vocalization sounds like a harsh yell that alerts surrounding wildlife to potential predators. They are easily recognized by their unfeathered black face, tall bushy crest, and pale greyish-green plumage.
